As I sit here drinking my evening cup of tea, I admire the cup from TAPS. I got my first mug for which I made a contribution to TAPS. The connections I have with TAPS from then and now, 1997 Advocacy course with Time Richards, now, sipping tea from a cup that cries for Justice! I started looking at myself as an advocate. I continue to stand up and not take no for an answer for anything that I believe is a misjustice to myself and others to follow. We are all legacies in our time. We all have a reason and a season, I have never let go of my connection with TAPS, whether physical or spiritual. I admire the tenacity and hard work that everyone puts forth at TAPS. I admire the friendships and struggles. The force of being one if needed, to fight for justice NOT charity. Rose Henry – kudos to you for your tenacity, living with what you have, and for your beliefs! My heartfelt thanks to you – Always, and have “fun” in Chicago!
To sit in the comfort of my low income housing unit, to sip on my Justice tea, to thank G/d I had the tenacity to carry on, to have an attitude of gratitude everyday no matter what – Thank you TAPS for your tenacity and beliefs to carry on for the thousands of Victorians that you have helped to believe and to carry on!
