Board, Staff, Volunteer, Student:
Yuka Kurokawa joined the Tenant Advocacy Project in 2012. While studying criminology and sociology at Simon Fraser University, and social work at the University of Victoria, she developed an interest in pursuing a career in a field where social concerns intersect with laws and legal systems.
As a Tenant Legal Advocate, Yuka’s role is to support tenants to resolve their housing concerns as they pertain to provincial tenancy legislation. Aside from advocacy work, Yuka loves sunny days, being outdoors, playing the ukulele and enjoying cups of tea, and she can ride a unicycle.
